Confessions Part II was commercially successful after its release, albeit it received mixed reviews from contemporary critics. It peaked at Number 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 while reaching Number 5 on the UK Singles chart.

The official remix to Part 2, which was included as a bonus track on the Special Edition of the album features Shyne, Kanye West and Twista.
